Along came a Whippet.....

Once apon a time, we would have considered our lives pretty normal UNTIL a little black Whippet came into our lives in August 2012 and oh how our lives have changed!

Prior to that....

Scott has had a keen interest in hounds of all shapes and sizes his whole life and had always wanted a Whippet from a young age.  From a background in Gundogs, Scott trained as a Gamekeeper but even now, working in horticulture, his passion for hounds, sighted and scent, has stayed strong. 

Katie on the other hand has had a life full of horses. From show jumping on Heinz 57 Ponies as a child, endurance riding on Arabian Horses as a teen and more recently showing American Quarter Horses at national level. Due to a rather nasty accident and subsequent knee reconstruction in 2012, the horses have had to take a back burner and showing Whippets has proven to be a much safer pastime.

We are now based in the small village of Barnham, West Sussex. With only a 5 minute drive from the sandy beaches surrounding Clymping and 15 minutes from the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park.

Primarily, our Whippets are our pets and our family, living with us in our house.  After showing horses and ponies since the age of 7, Katie is now dedicating her spare time to showing the whippets and is frequently seen up and down the country with a whippet or two in tow. Scott however, is more interested in the practical side of whippeting, Lure Coursing and rabbiting for pest control.  Our aims and objectives are to produce quality Whippets who are truely "Fit For Function" with no over exageration. It is essential that our whippets can be found in both the show ring and on the field....and on the sofa!!!
