Golly was our very first whippet, the one that got us hooked on this wonderful breed.

Bred in Wales, Golly was sired by a show bred dog and out of a working bitch.  She is a lovely dog to own and will do anything to please. She tried her hand at showing as a puppy and junior, doing well at local shows. However, as she grew up it was apparent that the show ring was not her cup of tea and that Lure Coursing was more her bag!

Golly surpassed all expectations Lure Coursing in 2013 and in her first ever competitive run, won her class. The following season, 2014, she once again won her class in June and ended up only 0.5 of a point off the top Whippet of the day.   

Golly is currently enjoying some time off on the sofa due to a hind leg injury but hopes to be back out on the Lure Coursing Field in 2017!
