Lure Coursing

2016 was a successful year for the Mannerpools on the Lure Coursing Field. Ebony was runner up in one of her stakes and Tilly started off on the right foot comming Runner Up in the SWC Puppy Stakes!

Otmoor Whippet Endurance Challenge 2015

We had a lovely day at the Otmoor Whippet Endurance Challenge, held at Biscester Greyhound Trainign Track. None of the Mannerpool Whippet are in full running fitness due so a summer of showing and Golly and Ebony being in season in July/August.

Both Teddy and Ebony competed in the 300m stakes and both won their consolation rounds.  Golly, who has been out due to injury for most of the last year, came for a trial and also ran well.

As long as the dogs are having fun and showing that they are eager to chase, we do not mind if they win, lose or draw....after all, they do not know they are in a competition!

BSFA- May 2014

Golly did us proud again at BSFA by winning Class 1 and scoring only .5 less than Whippet that went Best of Breed and Best in Field.

Sporting Whippet Club - Dec 2013

Ebony took part in the first ever SWC Lure coursing event held in Gloucestershire.

We were thrilled that she was Runner Up in an 8 dog stake, only beaten by her good pal Ivy aka Penny Paynes Blue Grey.

Golly has always had a high prey drive since day one. So we thought we would put her to the test!  She loves to run and we have been Trialing her at monthly Lure Coursing events.

When she is eventually old enough to compete she will be entered into the Yearling BSFA Classes.
